#POTW – February 24th

With President’s Day this week, it was a short workweek at Forge HQ, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t still plenty of great #POTW clips from the Forge community. This week features two great Overwatch plays from luxy and gspleen and a Chivalry clip from Culture-Vulture that, well, pretty much explains itself.

#POTW – February 17th

Opposites attract in this week’s #POTW! On one end of the spectrum, we have a Perfect KO from togashiazrael against an opponent ranked nearly twice as high. On the other end, we have a beautiful use of McCree by Raxta only to be followed up by his team hiding in a corner until they lost. Opposite results, but two great plays nonetheless!

#POTW – February 10th

This week  had tons of great plays on #POTW, so how did we choose? We’ve gotta admit that we went with the ones with the sweet tunes in the background. Is that fair to togashiazrael, Maeka, gspleen, Raxta, werelock, and kagekiri who all had some ridiculously good plays? Not really, and our apologies, but we were rocking out to this background music and couldn’t resist!

New Update: Instant Clip

Ever stuck in an intense battle where you want to upload a clip but not stop to edit it? Instant Clip is here for you. Now via the Forge app, all it takes is a simple press of [F8] during any moment of your game to immediately share your last 15 seconds of gameplay.

After you hit [F8], your clip will be instantly uploaded to Forge and you’ll be given a URL featuring your gameplay that you can share anywhere. It’s that simple!

Of course, if you want longer or shorter clips, or a little more precision, you can still always edit clips after your game session has ended, or by using the In-Game Clipper [F6]. But now you have an option for those too-good-to-wait, too-intense-to-stop moments of your games!

As always, you can view and set your hotkeys in the app Settings:

#POTW – February 3rd

Even if it’s not snowing in your neck of the woods, it’s a Blizzard here with the #POTW roundup. This week featured many great moments from Overwatch, making it tough to only choose a couple, but we did our best and then threw in a Heroes of the Storm clip to boot!

New update: Share clips directly to Facebook and Steam

We’re excited to introduce two new options for sharing your gaming clips! You can now share clips directly to Facebook or Steam chat from the Forge app.

(Lizzie thinks that Gorndt will really enjoy her Dead by Daylight clip.)

Sharing to Facebook acts similarly to how you can currently share to Twitter from the Forge app. When you’re uploading a clip, you can select Facebook to connect your account and share a clip directly to your timeline, just like you would with a regular Facebook post.

You can also send your clip to any friend on Steam. Choose the “Select Friends on Steam” option and then choose any friends you want to share your clip with. From there, Forge will automatically send the link to a chat window with your friend on Steam.

If you’re experiencing any issues with these features, please email us at help@forge.gg. If you would like to leave suggestions on how we can improve Forge, please do so here: http://feedback.forge.gg/.
